Our legacy of health training and education in Binh Dinh

Over the past two decades, the New Zealand Vietnam Health Trust has responded to calls for training and education in:
  • anaesthesia
  • general surgery
  • orthopaedics
  • rehabilitation and corrective therapy
  • ophthalmology
  • laboratory management
  • cervical cancer screening
  • haematology
  • radiology
  • women’s health programmes
  • neonatal care nursing education
  • psychiatric & mental health

Our volunteers have also advised on the set up & design of general hospital services, and supplied crucial medical equipment and resources.

The Binh Dinh provincial Department of Health wants us to intensify our existing commitment.

There is urgent demand for our help to raise standards and outcomes in mental and psychiatric health, rural mother and child health, and bolster the practical skills of newly-graduated nurses.

Successful projects are also in demand from other hospitals and communities in the province.
We are faced with a clear need - and have voluntary professional support to initiate new projects.

But we lack the financial resources to act. NZ | VN Health Trust can no longer respond to the Department of Health's call for help without financial backing.

This means vital programmes are on hold while we seek funding support.
