Why join us?
NZ | VN Health Trust is a membership organisation.
Being a member enables us to send you newsletters detailing the progress of our activities and to be a part of the wider NZ - Vietnam community. Membership plus - if you wish - an annual donation goes a long way towards supporting the activities of health professionals who are better at medicine than fundraising! This and potential sponsorship are our sole sources of income.
Our highly trained and experienced specialist doctors, nurses, midwives, laboratory professionals and physiotherapists all work on a voluntary basis. They use their holidays and personal resources to annually deliver training and education in Binh Dinh. All income is spent on reducing the costs they incur. The Trust's NZ operations, administration and logistics are also delivered by a handful of committed volunteers.
We seek new financial support to sustain our core activities.

There are many benefits to sustaining New Zealand’s health promotion & education efforts in Vietnam.
These include:
- Meeting an ongoing need for better health services. Much progress has been made since the New Zealand Vietnam Health Trust formed in 1997. Our work is far from finished. We are the only international health organisation with the relationships needed to support local connections with some of Binh Dinh's hardest to reach communities.
- Honouring long-standing relationships. From the Services and Civilian Surgical Team, to Volunteer Service Abroad and the NZ Vietnam Health Trust, the quality of health-based relationship New Zealand has fostered with Vietnamese officials, medics, hospitals and communities is unparalleled.
- Fostering potential trade partnerships. Relationships forged in the name of health care and community development have the potential to grow into economic and trade partnerships. Strong, healthy communities are self-sustaining, and we are uniquely positioned to support new initiatives that cross the boundaries of health and new shared goals for Binh Dinh and New Zealand.
